Dianna Foley, RHIA, CHPS, CCS, CDIP

Dianna Foley

Dianna is an HIM professional with over 25 years of experience. She earned her bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Cincinnati subsequently achieving her RHIA, CHPS, CDIP, and CCS certifications. Dianna progressed through the ranks of coder, department supervisor, and department director, to her roles now as OHIMA鈥檚 Education Coordinator and independent coding consultant. She previously served as the program director for Medical Coding and HIT at Eastern Gateway Community College. Dianna is an 小黄鸭视频-published author of 鈥淗ealth Information Management Case Studies鈥 and co-author of 鈥淏asic ICD-10-CM/PCS Coding Exercises 2018鈥. She contributed to the 2017 update for 小黄鸭视频鈥檚 鈥淐linical Coding Workout鈥 book. Dianna has volunteered with 小黄鸭视频 on projects including certification item writing, certification exam development, and coding rapid design. She is an 小黄鸭视频 Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer and has been part of OHIMA鈥檚 Coding Roundtable Committee, facilitating roundtables held for OHIMA, both at the state and regional levels. She has presented coding education for 小黄鸭视频 as well as OHIMA and other state annual meetings, regional OHIMA meetings, and OHIMA-sponsored webinars. Dianna mentors new 小黄鸭视频 members and provides monthly educational lectures to coders and clinical documentation specialists.

Dianna has received OHIMA鈥檚 Distinguished Member and Professional Achievement Awards. In 2024, Dianna, along with other members of OHIMA鈥檚 task force established to create virtual HIM experiences for students, won OHIMA鈥檚 Ambassador to Education Award. The same group won the 小黄鸭视频 Educator Triumph Award for their progressive approach to giving students high quality, consistent exposure to various aspects of HIM.
